Job summary

S&ME Inc. seeks a Construction Materials Project Manager to lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from kickoff through closeout. You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and technical oversight while mentoring field and engineering staff and growing client relationships in the South Carolina market.

The role emphasizes quality, compliance, and client satisfaction, with opportunities to contribute to business development and operational excellence within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
• CMT and SI experience preferred.
• EIT certification required.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain in future.
• Active ICC, ACI, and DOT certifications a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards and IBC Special Inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and SI projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, and technical oversight.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors through meetings and site visits to confirm project requirements and progress.
• Mentor technicians and engineers to ensure testing quality and accurate reporting.
• Oversee reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support business development and grow local market presence through industry engagement.
