Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Southern California CMS group. You will oversee project staff and consultants to ensure projects meet plans, specs, and contract requirements, while interfacing with the owner and engineer of record.

Responsibilities cover procurement through close-out, with a focus on safety, schedule, and budget. You will also assist in identifying new business opportunities and develop client relationships across assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects (plants, pump stations, pipelines, tunnels).
• 8+ years of management experience including client interface, marketing and business development, planning and execution, staff supervision.
• CCM or PMP certification required (or willing to obtain within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Oversee process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for business development and project execution.
• Make decisions to improve client relationships and profitability of managed projects.
• Develop new business opportunities relative to clients or geographical areas.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to facilitate construction activities.
• Provide oversight of contract administration, planning/execution, scheduling, change orders, and quality assurance.
