Job summary

MWH is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the CMS group on critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Southern California. You will oversee project staff and consultants, ensuring work aligns with plans, specs, and client expectations, reporting to the Area Manager.

The role emphasizes safety, budget adherence, business development, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies. You will guide procurement through construction, support start-up, and help pursue new

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical) or construction management, or equivalent.
Minimum of 12 years managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
8+ years of management experience including client interface and business development.
CCM or PMP certification required or willing to obtain within 12 months.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for development and execution.
Develop and implement cost control, scheduling, and procurement activities.
Provide guidance to project staff and consultants and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Support new business development opportunities.
