Job summary

MWH Constructors in Sacramento, CA seeks a Construction Manager to lead mechanical aspects of water and wastewater projects. You will oversee staff, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with clients, engineers, and regulators for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities span procurement through close-out, with opportunities to contribute to new business development. A bachelor's in engineering plus CCM or PMP and 12+ years of municipal project experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• 12+ years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• 8+ years of management experience including client interface, marketing and business development.
• CCM or PMP required, with potential to gain CCM/PMP within 12 months.
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices, union jurisdiction and labor agreements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
• Strong business acumen; project P/L experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical operations in water/wastewater projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, regulators, and engineers for project execution.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules and safety standards.
• Coordinate with staff, consultants and contractors across all phases.
• Assist in new business development opportunities and client relations.
