Job summary

Cleland Site Prep, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced Estimator in Ridgeland, MS to project material, labor, and equipment needs for bids. The role uses past cost history and field input to develop budgets that guide project decisions and management reviews.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, maintaining estimate documentation, communicating bid details to field teams, and evaluating design options for cost efficiency while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of cost history and bid preparation.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed estimates by completing takeoff, using past cost history and conferring with field personnel.
• Maintains files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers.
• Prepare detailed reports, information packets and clearly communicate all aspects of the bid to field personnel on bids that are awarded.
• May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost and availability of materials.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
