Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products in Minnesota is seeking an Estimator to handle project estimating and support the sales team, working with engineering, vendors, and production staff to ensure all costs are covered and accurate.

The role also involves coordinating turnover, reviewing proposals, and assisting with change orders, procurement, and scheduling to keep bids on track and customers satisfied.

Qualifications

• Estimation and project management experience preferred, construction or precast industry a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Associates Degree / Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and implement our management systems.

Responsibilities

• Estimate multiple projects concurrently and deliver proposals to the sales staff before bid date.
• Contact vendors for pricing and review quotes to meet designs/specifications.
• Review proposals with sales staff to ensure proper estimating and project requirements, time frames and subcontracting opportunities.
• Lead turnover meetings at the point of sale to confirm scope and paperwork and begin scheduling the project.
• Assist with Change Order Proposals in a timely manner, as requested by owner/client/architect or generated by Oldcastle.
• Monitor progress and status of each project, problem-solve, and expedite where needed.
• Assist with inside sales, production reporting, and invoicing as required.
