Job summary

CRH, via Cleland Site Prep, seeks an estimator to project materials, labor, and equipment for bids and budgets. The role requires reviewing plans, cost history, and supplier data to deliver accurate estimates for projects in the Low Country region.

The candidate will work with field personnel, review design options, and ensure compliance with safety and policy standards while communicating bid details clearly to management and teams.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of construction estimating experience required.
• Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed estimates by completing takeoff, using past cost history and conferring with field personnel.
• Maintains files of working documents and current price lists from suppliers and brochures.
• Prepare detailed reports and clearly communicate bid details to field personnel on awarded bids.
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost and material availability.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety procedures.
