Job summary

Morton Buildings is seeking a Construction Crew Lead to assist the Crew Foreman in delivering high-quality post-frame buildings across our centers. You will help build teams, meet safety standards, and drive efficient project execution.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in building construction, a Class A CDL (or plan to obtain within 6 months), and a commitment to safety and training programs. Expect travel up to 25% and a comprehensive ESOP program and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in building construction is required.
• Carpentry, framing, post-frame construction, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Applicant must hold a Class A CDL license or be able to obtain one within 6 months of being hired.
• Desire to obtain OSHA 10-hour, Equipment Operation and Competent Person Certifications once hired.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and provide leadership.
• Participate in and lead our formal training programs.
• Ability to measure human productivity and improve effectiveness.
• Embrace accountability and ownership.
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep current with and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards to every building.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Lead and efficiently execute tasks to complete a quality building including digging, footings, framing, doors, and siding/roofing installations.
• Provide construction expertise and communication skills to complete projects profitably.
• Assist in training crew members, including new hires, to ensure safety and procedures are followed.
• Foster a safe, organized, productive and positive workplace environment.
