Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Complex Fire Alarm Lead Systems Specialist to design, configure, and commission advanced building control systems including security and fire subsystems. You will translate project requirements into clear technical designs and reliable performance from installation through handover.

You will develop software, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure accurate as-built drawings, with a strong focus on safety and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or 3 years’ related experience.
• Knowledge of construction and Security & Fire Alarm industry.
• Experience integrating Security & Fire Alarm subsystems and explaining to non-technical audiences.
• Advanced computer skills with drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure technically complex building control systems in accordance with contract documents.
• Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Develop and test software programs needed to operate the system as required.
• Support integration of security subsystems and other low-voltage controls.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals, and installation documentation with stakeholders.
• Load and commission system and network-level controllers and troubleshoot with subcontractors.
