Job summary

Navy Region Naval District Washington Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks an experienced Recreation Program Manager to plan, promote and implement a variety of MWR and Community Recreation activities across the installation.

You will build partnerships with base and community organizations, supervise staff, manage program operations, and ensure safety, compliance and effective outreach for base-wide events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreational programs.
• Ability to organize and conduct activities for diverse audiences.
• Ability to create, negotiate, implement and sustain partnerships via MWR agreements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage hiring, training, and performance.
• Lead and oversee multiple recreation programs and events.
• Develop partnerships and coordinate with on-base and off-base organizations.
• Maintain program administration, reports, and daily DAR/inventory controls.
