Job summary

County of Los Angeles is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Emergency Community Center Director II. You will oversee day-to-day center operations, staff supervision, and the delivery of human services, crisis intervention, and community programs.

You will develop policies, coordinate with County partners, analyze service data, and lead capital and emergency projects to ensure resilient, high‑quality center operations for diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in administrative, supervisory, or consultative roles in human services.
• Experience in community services, crisis intervention, emergency response, or related programs.
• Two years' experience as Community Center Specialist II or one year as Community Center Director I.

Responsibilities

• Directs center programs and services, managing day-to-day operations and resources.
• Develops objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory and departmental directives.
• Supervises staff; sets performance expectations and provides coaching and feedback.
• Maintains community engagement with partners, schools, law enforcement, and facilities.
• Identifies problems using data from surveys and service utilization to propose improvements.
• Prepares reports and maintains documentation meeting federal, state, and County standards.
• Manages projects (capital, facility, emergency management) with plan, timeline, and budget oversight.
