Job summary

Los Angeles County Department of Health Services is seeking an Emergency Health Program Analyst III to supervise a team of analysts and manage a broad range of mental health and public health initiatives addressing homelessness.

The role emphasizes program development, evaluation, contract oversight, and collaboration with federal, state, and community partners, with potential transition to permanent County employment after an initial 90-day period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or Social Work and five years of mental health/public health program analysis, two years at Health Program Analyst II.
• Master's Degree may substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Option II requires seven years of mental health/public health program analysis, two years at Health Program Analyst II.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates staff delivering program services with public, private, and non-profit partners.
• Leads development, implementation, and evaluation of program services and policy objectives.
• Facilitates meetings with department officials and community groups to influence policy.
• Oversees contract management and monitoring of service providers.
• Reviews reports and develops program goals and plans.
• Ensures compliance with grant activities and reporting.

Education
