Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in State College, PA is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per approved menus, supervise staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director, and ensure safe, efficient kitchen operations.

You will follow recipes, monitor temperatures, control portions, and support dietary needs of residents, including substitutions with director's approval, while maintaining hygiene and confidentiality. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and monitor temperatures and portion sizes.
• Record temperatures three times daily and report faulty equipment.
• Assist with training new dietary employees and attend in-services.
