Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to join our Dining Services team in Hershey, PA. The Cook prepares meals according to approved menus and recipes, supervises dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is away, and ensures the kitchen remains clean and ready for service.

The role requires experience in dining services, Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days, and the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire.
• Basic reading, writing and simple calculations required.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply kitchen principles.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, orderly kitchen and work area.
• Record food temperatures and monitor refrigerator temperatures as required.
• Assist in training new dietary employees and participate in in-service meetings.
