Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Manager to oversee multiple associations, advising the Board of Directors, homeowners, and vendors. The role involves fiscal management, budget development, and ensuring compliance with civil code, while directing staff and coordinating with various departments to meet association needs.

Strong communication, budgeting, and leadership skills are essential, with CMCA preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred or comparable business experience.
• CMCA certification preferred within two years of hire.
• Experience in community management or related field beneficial.
• Familiarity with California civil code and association laws is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee association fiscal management including financial statement review and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with Civil Code and insurance needs; liaise with counsel as needed.
• Coordinate and attend board meetings; prepare agendas and board packets.
• Manage vendor relations and the RFP process; analyze proposals.
• Provide content for community website and newsletters as directed by the Board.
• Supervise community management staff and oversee training and performance.
