Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Manager in California to oversee the management of multiple community associations. You will advise boards, supervise staff, and coordinate vendors while ensuring fiduciary and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong financial stewardship, board communication, and the ability to lead meetings and projects across departments. CMCA certification is required, with a four-year degree preferred and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred, or comparable business experience.
• CMCA certification will be required upon hire.
• 3 years of Community Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets for Board approval.
• Review and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Oversee association accounting and payments.
• Coordinate insurance coverage and liaise with counsel as needed.
• Lead annual meeting/election processes and board meetings.
• Oversee vendor relations and RFP processes with data-driven comparisons.
• Prepare board packets and agendas, and maintain documents.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and association documents.
