Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from kickoff to final startup. You’ll set the standard for quality, safety, and teamwork while mentoring Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.

We’re looking for 4+ years of installation experience, strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, EPA Certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, ACs and ducts.
• Read blueprints and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning and quality inspections.
• Communicate with customers and team throughout the process.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and complete documentation on time.
