Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) seeks an Estimating/Quotations professional to support the Sales Division with proposal preparation and in-depth engineering analysis. You will prepare technical quotations for LV/MV switchgear projects and develop accurate cost estimates, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure pricing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required).
• 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Experience reading single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications.
• Expert knowledge of LV/MV switchgear.
• Experience with technical proposals & quotations in electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate knowledge with automation & control and metering solutions.
• Travel required during onboarding/training up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical quotations for LV/MV switchgear projects by analyzing requirements and costs.
• Develop accurate cost estimates by collecting material, labor, equipment, and tooling costs.
• Identify and quantify cost uncertainties for reliable costing models.
• Update estimates/pricing based on scope changes and new information.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, bid documents, and RFQs for proposals.
• Prepare and submit quotation packages and proposals in response to RFQs.
• Obtain pricing for buyout items from vendor partners as requested by Sales.
• Analyze RFQ docs and summarize key requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Support Sales by communicating project information and ensuring quotation accuracy.
