Job summary

Advanced Prop Tech is seeking a hybrid Project Manager / Estimating Engineer in the Atlanta area to own low-voltage projects from bid to completion. You will read plans, build accurate estimates, and oversee field construction, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with strong onsite leadership.

The role requires hands-on site oversight, excellent communication with GCs and property managers, and the ability to manage multiple active projects while coordinating with field crews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in low voltage estimating, project management, or both (multifamily experience strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated construction site oversight experience - comfortable managing crews and subs in an active construction environment.
• Working knowledge of access control, CCTV/IP video, structured cabling, and wireless systems; ERRCS experience a big plus.
• Hands-on experience with Brivo, Butterfly, Schlage, Avigilon, Digital Watchdog, or DoorKing is a plus.
• Reading construction drawings and specs; estimating software and PM tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and take off construction drawings for multifamily projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates for access control, CCTV, cabling, A/V, wireless, and ERRCS systems.
• Build BOMs and labor estimates; coordinate with vendors on pricing and lead times.
• Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, including scheduling and procurement.
• Track budgets, change orders, and margins; flag risks and delays.
