Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc seeks a Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent to lead on-site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive project schedules. You will serve as the primary on-site leader, coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within scope.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong communication, and a proven track record managing complex construction activities in occupied spaces.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 8-10 years’ experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations, service work, and occupied spaces.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources, including people, tools and time to meet deadlines.
• Project lead experience preferred.
• Previous superintendent or project lead experience preferred.
• Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong communication, concise writing, and professional interaction skills.
• Commitment to integrity and continuous improvement; adaptable to changing technology and methods.

Responsibilities

• Understand and administer the HITT safety program for all subcontractors and assist in safety inspections.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all project aspects.
• Lead on-site safety and manage a safe jobsite.
• Maintain daily activity logs and manage punch list and closeout with owner/architect.
• Collaborate with project manager to formulate schedules and align methods with schedule commitments.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and manage on-site coordination.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and verify subcontractor scope.
• Organize site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities; identify long-lead items.
• Collaborate with project manager and site operations throughout the project life.
