Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to oversee and perform routine and STAT tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. The role ensures accuracy of results, documentation of patient and QA data, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff.

The CLS will verify specimens, perform calibration and QC, and escalate instrument issues as required. Strong communication, manual dexterity, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent preferred.
• A valid and current Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health.
• BCLS card (AHA) within 90 days hire.
• Proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work under supervision and in times of stress.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform routine and STAT tests in Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.
• Verify patient name and MR number before specimen collection or testing.
• Document calibration, QC, and maintenance procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Report instrument problems and document actions taken as needed.
