Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I in California to perform a range of chemical, hematological, serological, and microbiological tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

The role involves analysis of specimens, calibration, quality control, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Under supervision, the CLS I will evaluate results, maintain equipment, and participate in proficiency testing, with emphasis on accuracy and patient safety within a hospital laboratory

Qualifications

• Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
• Experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist Intern preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures.
• Performs tests calibrations and runs Quality Control materials at appropriate intervals.
• Evaluates results to decide whether tests should be reported.
• Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Evaluates the acceptability of analysis prior to releasing patient results.
• Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance and laboratory equipment calibration.
• Accurately performs and records proficiency testing.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and performs related tasks as needed or instructed.
