Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer Lead to drive the cloud native platform built on Kubernetes and related technologies.

You will lead cross-functional teams, influence the engineering roadmap, and mentor others while delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud services. You will leverage Go as a core language, with Python or Bash for scripting, and apply CI/CD practices to maintain high-quality production systems in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience in Cloud Native Platform Engineering.
• Experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant services using Kubernetes.
• Expert knowledge of Go; comfortable with Python or Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP and Linux-based OSes.
• Experience leveraging CI/CD tools for software development.
