Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer Lead to spearhead the cloud-native platform built on Kubernetes. You will guide architecture, mentor teams, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud services.

You will bring 12+ years of experience in cloud-native platforms, Go expertise, and strong leadership to drive an enabled ecosystem while ensuring security and reliability across production services.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience in cloud-native platform engineering.
• Leadership experience driving an enabled ecosystem of capabilities.
• Experience building and operating highly available production services with Kubernetes.
• Expert knowledge of Go; scripting with Python or Bash.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and Linux operating systems.
• CI/CD tools experience to enforce good development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the cloud native platform built on Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
• Shape engineering roadmap with management and stakeholders.
• Deliver enterprise features expected from a cloud-native platform.
