Job summary

You will mentor teams, promote best practices, and foster fast development cycles in an Agile environment while enabling innovative solutions across the Akamai Cloud and Edge platform.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience and a CS degree.
• Leadership in Cloud Native Platform Engineering.
• Experience building scalable, highly available production services with Kubernetes.
• Expert knowledge of Go; comfortable with Python/Bash scripting.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and Linux OS.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the cloud-native platform built on Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
• Shape engineering roadmap with management and business stakeholders.
• Deliver enterprise features expected from a cloud-native platform.
• Develop best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Lead and collaborate with engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Foster an environment that encourages innovative solutions and rapid development cycles.
