Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer Lead to drive the Kubernetes-based cloud native platform. Lead development, mentor teams, and shape the architectural roadmap for scalable, secure cloud services.

You will collaborate with management to deliver enterprise features and establish best practices, enabling rapid development cycles while maintaining high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Leadership experience in Cloud Native Platform Engineering.
• Experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Expert knowledge of the Go programming language; comfortable with Python or Bash for scripting.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools to enable good software development practices.
