Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the DET IT Finance Engineering team to set technical direction for Workday Finance and MuleSoft integrations. You will champion AI adoption across the engineering lifecycle and bring cloud-native thinking (AWS/GCP) to platform design and operation.

You will define end-to-end architecture, lead API-led integrations, mentor engineers, and drive scalable solutions across enterprise systems with security and governance in mind.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, including experience with Workday Financials / Accounting Center or comparable ERP platforms.
• Experience working in complex integration-heavy environments.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Hands-on mastery of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API-led integrations.
• Familiarity with AI developer productivity tools and embedding AI into engineering workflows.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end architecture for Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and enterprise integration platforms.
• Architect and deliver secure, scalable Workday-MuleSoft integrations across platforms, driving API-led connectivity and reliability.
• Lead adoption of AI developer tools and automation platforms within the engineering workflow.
• Design and operate cloud-native integration infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP with modern patterns.
• Mentor engineers through architecture and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions at scale.
