You will balance hands-on oversight with staff coaching, delivering high-quality financial reporting for nonprofit clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Nonprofit accounting experience required.
• Strong hands-on accounting foundation with leadership experience.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and accounting work.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting professionals.
• Strong client or stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple accounting platforms (Excel mandatory).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, client relationships and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Client Relationships and serve as trusted advisor to nonprofit clients.
• Oversee financial reporting, ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Lead and support onboarding and transitions for new clients.
• Participate in finance committee and board meetings when appropriate.
• Identify client concerns and help resolve challenging situations.
• Review client needs, scope of work and engagement health.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and additional services.
• Coordinate between clients, staff and firm leadership.
• Coach and develop accounting professionals; conduct performance discussions.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and resources for the team.
• Ensure staffing, utilization, and engagement coverage meets client needs.
• Assist in training and professional development; support growth.
