Job summary

Centrus Energy is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead the engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. This role ensures structural steel, concrete systems, foundations, and equipment supports meet exacting quality, safety, and regulatory standards from design through turnover.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years in structural design, analysis and field support, preferably in regulated industrial or nuclear environments.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and applicable seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications.
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for loads and layout constraints.
• Provide field support through walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs, and as-built updates.
• Develop procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for fabrication/installation and support bid evaluations.
