Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead the preconstruction department. You will analyze drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and orchestrate bid processes for a range of civil projects.

You will solicit subcontractor quotes, provide value engineering, and present final estimates to senior management, driving winning proposals while maintaining historical data and templates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in civil construction.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient in necessary software: Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
