Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions in Nashville is seeking an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our Bid/Preconstruction Department. You will analyze drawings, specs, and proposals to prepare detailed cost estimates for civil projects and guide the bid process from start to finish.

You will solicit quotes, perform value engineering, maintain estimating templates, and present final estimates to senior management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in civil construction.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient software: Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for our civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
