Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead the Preconstruction Department. You will analyze drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and manage bid processes for complex civil projects.

The role requires 3+ years of civil estimating, a proven project track record, and strong software skills (Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel). Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are essential to win bids and deliver accurate

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an estimator in civil construction.
Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
Proficient with Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, and Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for civil projects.
Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
Provide value engineering recommendations.
Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
