Job summary

Your Talent Team in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our preconstruction department and manage detailed cost estimates for civil projects. You will orchestrate the bid process, analyze drawings and specs, and identify labor, materials, and time requirements to support winning work.

You will also solicit subcontractor quotes, prepare bid packages, and present final estimates to senior management, while contributing value engineering and maintaining

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil construction industry.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating and bid processes for our civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
