Accounting Search in Nashville, TN seeks a Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our Construction Precon Department. You will manage and prepare detailed cost estimates for civil projects, guiding bid processes and value engineering to help win work.

The role requires 3+ years in civil estimation, proficiency with Bid-To-Win/HeavyBid/AutoCAD/AGTEK/Excel, and strong communication. Competitive compensation with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a civil estimator.
• Proven track record estimating civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating and bid processes for civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
