Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and 8–10+ years of civil experience including solar design, with a proven ability to lead projects, mentor staff, and optimize design processes across markets.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program required.
• PE licensure in the US required; NCEES record preferred.
• 8–10+ years civil engineering experience; solar experience preferred.
• Proficient in civil design for utility-scale projects and earthwork calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design projects with clients and internal teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive standards across the department.
• Execute team and department initiatives to improve tools and processes.
• Apply engineering techniques to support other civil, structural, and electrical workflows.
• Develop plans, specs, and observation reports for solar projects.
• Review designs for constructability, safety, and risk management.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and business development teams.
• Demonstrate creativity and design ownership with clients.
