Job summary
Ulteig seeks a Lead Structural Engineer - Renewables to support utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will act as Engineer of Record across multiple states, supervising civil and structural design teams and collaborating with clients.
You will design foundations, review geotechnical data, oversee pile testing, mentor engineers, and contribute to tool development. A PE license and experience in renewable structures are required; SE preferred.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Civil/Structural PE registration with NCEES; SE preferred.
- 7+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience in foundation design for utility-scale solar projects.
- Proficiency with LPile/APile or equivalent software; RISA/STAAD knowledge.
- Interpret geotechnical data and communicate risks clearly.
- Familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360 and ACI 318.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and/or Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Act as Engineer of Record for renewable projects across states.
- Design foundations and review geotechnical data and reports.
- Mentor engineers; develop design tools for internal use.
- Ensure constructability, safety and risk management considerations.
