Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Civil Design Engineer – Renewables to join the Civil Renewables Department. You will collaborate with civil, structural and electrical design teams and clients to develop innovative design solutions for renewable projects.

Responsibilities include applying engineering techniques, developing plans and specs, recommending design improvements, and performing site design calculations. You will work across markets and demonstrate ownership of solutions, with permanent US work

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program is required.
EIT registration is required.
3–5+ years of civil engineering experience, with 1–2 years in renewables preferred.
Understanding of large-scale site grading and earthwork calculations.
Familiarity with erosion and sediment control and stormwater treatment is highly desired.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Applies standard engineering techniques to complete civil design tasks and supports related design workflows.
Develops plans, specs and observation reports per industry practices.
Recommends alterations to development criteria and design features to improve quality.
Performs design computations for civil site design.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and clients to identify best solutions.
