Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Lead to direct civil design for renewable energy projects, with a focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to delivering high-quality professional services to clients. You will lead the design team, manage budgets and schedules, perform QA/QC reviews, coordinate with clients and utilities, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Experience leading civil engineering design for renewable energy projects (BESS preferred).
• Strong QA/QC and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team on civil engineering design for renewable energy projects (BESS).
• Lead QA/QC reviews and ensure constructability and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and code enforcement agencies.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and invoicing; prepare and review change orders.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
