Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects within the Power Division.

The role includes leading electrical engineering, coordinating with service leaders and the Director of Electrical Engineering, and guiding project milestones while upholding firm standards. The candidate will supervise electrical designers, coordinate with clients, utilities, and project managers, and ensure on-schedule,

Qualifications

• BSEE or related field required.
• 4–10 years of electrical design experience in power generation, energy storage, substations, or distribution.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC and interconnection requirements.
• Ability to read and develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for BESS projects and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Manage design budgets, schedules, and change orders.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates for electrical engineering services.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors.
• Perform QA/QC of design work and supervise staff.
