Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join our Facilities team, focusing on site civil design for complex facility projects across multiple markets. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, apply QA/QC processes, and grow toward leading projects with senior engineering oversight.

Qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D, dynamic modeling, and client relationship development.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment and adaptation of engineering principles.
• Experience in land development, municipal utility design, water resources or environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading and site development design.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and self-management with a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projects.
• Develop design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and terrain modeling tools for 3D coordination.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• Support permitting and regulatory agency coordination.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to field questions.
• Take ownership of tasks and contribute to project success.
• Apply QA/QC processes and engineering judgment per codes and standards.
• Grow toward leading projects with guidance from senior engineers.
