Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Civil Engineering to join our Facilities team. The role focuses on owning and delivering complex facility and infrastructure projects across sectors, in Boise, ID or Austin, TX.

You will lead site civil design efforts from concept through construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients while applying engineering principles and standards. This role offers growth into project leadership with mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment and adaptation.
• Experience in land development, municipal utility design, water resources or environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading and site development design.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to self‑manage tasks and deliver results.
• Interest in developing client relationships and understanding client needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projects.
• Develop design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and terrain modeling tools to support 3D coordination and visualization.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Support permitting and regulatory agency coordination.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to field questions as needed.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall project success.
• Apply WSP’s quality management processes, including QA/QC reviews.
• Demonstrate sound engineering judgment while adapting and applying engineering principles, codes, and standards. Grow toward leading projects with guidance, mentoring, and oversight from senior engineers.
