Job summary

Interwest Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project Manager to join our Public Works Group in Elk Grove, California. The role focuses on overseeing municipal CIP projects, coordinating with agencies and consultants, and delivering projects from planning through construction.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering background, 5+ years of CIP or public works experience, and strong communication and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, public works, or infrastructure project management.
• Experience managing municipal CIP projects or comparable public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate municipal CIP projects within schedules, scopes, and budgets.
• Oversee public infrastructure projects including streets, storm drainage, water and sewer systems.
• Lead planning, design, permitting, bidding and construction phases.
• Coordinate with municipal clients, engineering consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
