Interwest Consulting Group, a leading municipal services firm, seeks an experienced Construction Manager in Calaveras County, CA. You will oversee public works/CIP projects from pre-construction through closeout and serve as the municipality’s representative, ensuring adherence to plans, specs, and regulatory standards.

The role requires 10+ years in construction/project management, strong communication, and proficiency with project management tools.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and project management, preferably public works.

Responsabilidades

• Manage public works construction and CIP projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Maintain project budget and schedule controls.
• Manage contractors, inspectors, employees, and third-party consultants.
• Serve as the municipality’s representative throughout the construction process.
• Ensure projects are constructed per plans, specs, contracts, and federal/state/county/city requirements.
• Coordinate with utility companies and understand applicable utility standards.
• Support projects utilizing public funding, including public grants.
• Assist with RFPs and proposals for new and existing clients.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, municipal staff, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Review project documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Administer project documentation (daily reports, meeting minutes, pay apps, etc.).
• Review and recommend progress payments and closeout documentation.
• Oversee project construction and prepare detailed reports.
• Attend project status meetings with municipal clients.
• Interpret contracts and administer contractual requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using project management tracking software.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims.
• Supervise inspection services and third-party consultants to project completion.
• Identify and resolve conflicts, issues, and claims efficiently.
• Coordinate project acceptance, punch lists, warranties, and final completion activities.
