Job summary

Chess Wizards is seeking a Lead Teacher Trainer in Denver, CO to lead engaging chess classes for 10–15 elementary students after school. You will also help train and coach other instructors, ensuring our program quality aligns with customer expectations.

Reliable transportation is required for class locations in the metropolitan area. The role offers competitive per-class pay ($65–$85) and mileage reimbursement for travel over 15 miles one way.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and the ability to explain piece movement, basic strategy, and simple tactics to kids.

Responsibilities

• Lead chess classes for 10–15 elementary students in after-school programs.
• Coach and mentor instructors, supporting training and quality control.
• Assist Area Manager with site visits, feedback collection, and customer service.
