Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking a Lead Teacher Trainer in Chicago, IL to lead and train instructors, delivering engaging chess classes to 10–15 elementary students after school. The role involves coaching peers, coordinating with school partners, and maintaining high program quality.

Preferred candidates have 2–3 years of experience with groups of children and must be available 4–5 afternoons per week during peak sessions. Travel within metropolitan campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Lead engaging chess classes for elementary students
• 2-3 years of experience with groups of children
• Available after school 4–5 days per week (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities

• Lead and train instructors to meet customer expectations and Chess Wizards standards
• Assist in training, development, and coaching of other instructors
• Visit sites for coaching, customer conversations, and quality control
• Evaluate instructor performance and provide feedback to supervisor
• Resolve program challenges and ensure smooth class operations
• Prepare class evaluation reports and communicate with supervisor regularly
