Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. in Reading, PA, is seeking a Lead Teacher Trainer to lead engaging chess classes for 10-15 elementary students and to train and coach other instructors.

This role aligns instructors' performance with customer expectations and serves as a stepping stone toward future management opportunities. The position requires 2-3 years' experience working with children, a strong grasp of chess fundamentals, and availability after school 4–5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain piece movement, basic strategy and simple tactics to kids.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive chess classes for 10-15 elementary students and keep activities engaging.
• Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating instructors.
• Support Area Manager with visits for coaching, customer conversations, and quality control.
• Prepare class setup 15 minutes before start and stay until students are dismissed to an authorized adult.
