Job summary

Vibra Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to direct the nursing staff on the shift, ensuring patient safety and quality care. You will assign, guide, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, while coordinating admissions, discharges and transfers with hospital teams.

You will oversee documentation, telemetry, and device management, participate in performance improvement, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of employment
• BLS certification at hire or within the specified period
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Supervisory responsibilities over nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs, etc.)
• Experience leading nursing teams and coordinating unit operations

Responsibilities

• Direct the nursing department during the shift as the leader and resource person
• Assign patients equitably based on nurse ability and patient needs
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff and ensure completion
• Monitor staffing, admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Oversee patient care planning, rounds, and documentation in Cerner STAR Healthland
• Coordinate with physicians, therapy, and hospital departments as needed
