Job summary

Frederick Health in Frederick, MD seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide leadership, coordinate patient care using the nursing process, and mentor staff within the unit. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to maintain high standards of care and compliance with hospital policies.

The role requires BSN or equivalent with Maryland RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a registered nurse in Maryland
• BSN, or BSN agreement with degree achieved within 5 years from start of position
• CPR and/or other appropriate certifications
• Clinical competency in departmental practice with minimum 2 years of experience
• Aim for specialty certification after two years or within 1 year in Charge nurse role

Responsibilities

• Coordinate direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Make frequent rounds to assure quality and service and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare patient care assignments considering staff mix and patient needs.
• Maintain safe patient care environment and ensure safety checks are performed as required.
• Mentor staff and participate in unit huddles and staffing scheduling.
