Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care, perform nursing assessments, and lead discharge planning in a busy hospital setting. You will apply the nursing process, document patient responses, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires current Maryland RN licensure, an associate degree in nursing (bachelor’s preferred), CPR/BLS, and the ability to work within regulatory and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years.
• CPR certification required; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using nursing standards and assess biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning needs.
• Document nursing assessments and patient responses accurately.
• Initiate and adjust individualized plan of care using nursing diagnosis.
• Collaborate with health care team and involve family/caregivers in care planning.
