Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced Antepartum/Postpartum Registered Nurse for a Full-time Charge Nurse in our Family Center. You will oversee patient care, mentor staff, and coordinate nursing activities, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m with weekend and holiday rotations.

The role emphasizes leadership, teaching, and collaboration with physicians and nursing teams to maintain high standards of patient care and safety across the unit throughout all shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with MD license expected.
• BSN degree or RN with BSN plan.
• CPR/NRP certification required; obtain within 1 year if not current.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Make frequent rounds to ensure quality patient care and service.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff under unit leadership.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and orientation of new hires.
